Everton manager Ronald Koeman has confirmed on the club’s official website that young midfielder Dominic Calvert-Lewin is fit to face West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Saturday.

The 19-year-old has come through the ranks at the Goodison Park club and is being tipped to have a bright future at the Merseyside outfit.

Koeman has given Calvert-Lewin a chance this season but the teenager was hurt in his first start in the Premier League – a 3-0 victory over Southampton back in January, with the midfielder lasting only 12 minutes before being substituted.

With midfield positions hotly contested in the Everton ranks, the prodigious talent has a job on his hands to win a place in the team but the starlet will be in consideration to feature on Saturday.

The Toffees have also confirmed that Muhamed Besic is yet to return to full fitness, while Yannick Bolasie will miss the remainder of the campaign.

Other than that, Everton have no new injury concerns and will hope for three points this weekend against a side in close proximity to them in the Premier League standings.

  1. Calvert-Lewin did not come through the ranks at Everton, he was brought in from Sheffield Wednesday. Yet more poor research.
