Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez missed the defeat to Juventus in the Champions League in midweek with an adductor injury, according to South American journalist Christian Martin.
Jose Mourinho confirmed in the lead up to the match with the Italians that the Chilean forward would be out, but did not go into details, however the issue has come to light courtesy of a Twitter post.

Sanchez is said to have injured his adductor while he was away on international duty with Chile recently, a problem which has already kept him out of two matches for the Red Devils, and could yet keep him out for more.
Manchester United face Everton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, and with Mourinho keeping fairly quiet on the issue with the former Barcelona and Arsenal star, people are beginning to doubt whether the South American will be fit to face the Toffees.
The injury will be a further blow for Sanchez, who is yet to make much of an impact since his high profile move from the Emirates Stadium to Old Trafford back in January.
He only found the back of the net twice in the second half of the campaign after arriving in Manchester, and so far this term he only has one goal to his name. That is clearly not the desired output the club were looking for when taking him from Arsenal.
United have struggled to show their best form this season and could do with the Chilean not only back in action, but showing his brilliant best stuff as they look to silence the growing band of critics circulating.
Thankfully for them however, his replacement in the starting XI, Anthony Martial, has found form at the right time and could be the man to see the Red Devils come through their slump, and back to where we expect them to be.
