Local journalist Phil Hay has delivered a positive update on some early transfer movement for Leeds United this summer.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reporter was questioned on his Twitter account by a Whites fan about whether any signings were close, and he revealed that three could be the pipeline.

It would seem that the easiest one of those to deliver would be the return of Jack Harrison, the Manchester City winger who spent the whole of last season on loan at Leeds, and who Marcelo Bielsa is looking to bring back to the club for the upcoming campaign.

With the Whites aiming to strengthen throughout their squad, but especially in the midfield and attacking areas, in order to propel another serious assault on promotion back to the Premier League, it appears the Yorkshire outfit are sticking their fingers into plenty of pies.

Two other men who have been linked with switches to Leeds are Liverpool midfielder Ryan Kent and Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Helder Costa.

Both would be loan moves for the Whites, as they battle to comply with Financial Fair Play, but were Bielsa and his staff to get them over the line they could be vital additions to a squad which almost secured promotion last term.

Kent has already spent a spell away from Anfield, when he was allowed to play for Rangers last season and after impressing under Steven Gerrard, Jurgen Klopp is looking for his talented midfielder to get experience at a higher level next season, which is where Leeds could come in.

Costa has found game time hard to come by since Wolves were promoted to the top flight, but he played a huge role in getting them out of the Championship, something that undoubtedly interests the Whites.

There is a feeling that this will be a busy summer at Elland Road, with plenty of ins and outs as Leeds look to finally end their Premier League exile.
