Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho said that he was pleased with the performance of Juan Foyth against Bayern Munich, as quoted in Metro.
Mourinho was impressed with the display produced by 21-year-old central defender Foyth during Tottenham’s defeat to Bayern away from home at the Allianz Arena in Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
Mourinho said about Foyth, as quoted in Metro: “I give you clearly a positive example because the positives examples are easier.
“Today I learn a lot about Foyth, he didn’t play one minute with me until today and I learn more in this 90 minutes than in two or three weeks of work without playing.”
One for the future
Foyth has not had an extended run in the team, but there is no doubt that the Argentina international is hugely talent.
The 21-year-old can only get better and improve in the coming years, and working under one of the best managers in the world in Mourinho will only help him get better.
The central defender has made only a handful of appearances for the Tottenham first team, but under a new head coach, he will get his chances if he continues to work hard and impress Mourinho.
