Crystal Palace picked up a second successive away win when they won 3-1 at Burnley on Saturday afternoon, and after the match fans reacted to the performance of one of their goalscorers on the day.

The Eagles headed up to Turf Moor still not completely out of the danger trouble in the Premier League, but this latest victory has eased any concerns they might have had, and instead should have them focusing on the top half of the table rather than the bottom.

Palace deserved their win as they showed a clinical edge to their game, which is something we haven’t always seen from them, so that will encourage them moving forward.

It was actually a Burnley player who gave the Eagles the lead, when Phil Bardsley put past his own goalkeeper, but after that the Londoners’ attacking core took over and dominated the game.

Chelsea loanee Michy Batshuayi doubled Palace’s advantage with a fine finish in the second half, before talisman Wilfried Zaha ensured the points would be heading back to the capital with a classy third goal.

Burnley pulled a goal back in injury time but there was no denying Roy Hodgson’s men a fine win, one which sends the Eagles up a place and on the fringes of the top half of the table.

Batshuayi has made a big impression since joining Palace, and is the focal point of the attack that the Selhurst Park outfit have been crying out for.

He has already won the Eagles fans round, and many of them headed to social media to point out the influence he is having on their team, and to request that the Londoners pull out all of the stops necessary to turn his loan move into something more permanent.

Whether that happens remains to be seen, but the Palace faithful are certainly impressed by what they are seeing from him, and the goals he is scoring.
