Ian Holloway said on EFL on Quest (9:40pm, November 9, 2019) that Ben White has been outstanding for Leeds United so far this season.

White joined Championship club Leeds on loan from Premier League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old central defender has established himself as an important player in head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s side, and former Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace manager Holloway has been impressed.

Holloway said on EFL on Quest (9:40pm, November 9, 2019): “Attacking wise they haven’t [matched last season], but defensively I think they’re better.

“I think White has come in and he’s been outstanding. They got rid of Jansson, who was a fan favourite, but I think he had a rick in him.”

Promotion challenge

Leeds are going strong in the Championship at the moment and are aiming for automatic promotion to the Premier League.

The West Yorkshire outfit are third in the league table at the moment with 31 points from 16 matches, level on points with second-placed Preston North End and two points behind leaders West Bromwich Albion.

The Whites will return to action after the two-week international break when they take on Luton Town away from home in the Championship.
