As Leeds gear up for their Carabao Cup game against Bolton at Elland Road, following a superb start to the season which included two irrepressible Championship victories, the West Yorkshire side will be confident that they can keep up their current form.
One bonus for Leeds fans for the match against Bolton, is that they have a top class player, who is fresh and fit who can come in and stifle any goal threat against the Lancashire side.
Arguably, the Whites’ best defender, Pontus Jansson hasn’t featured this season, having progressed to the latter stages of the World Cup with Sweden.
Following his arrival back at Elland Road and intensive training sessions, the 27-year-old told the Leeds United Official Website: “I feel ready to play.
“It’s been a great summer for sure,” he continued.
“I feel more motivated than ever.”
With Marcelo Bielsa expected to ring changes after two demanding fixtures, Jansson is a luxury to have at the back, with Bolton possessing a number of viable goal threats.
New signing Patrick Bamford is also expected to feature after his cameo appearance in the 4-1 win over Derby County at Pride Park last time out and will be hoping that he can deliver up front, while Jansson keeps things tight at the back.
