Hollywood actor Russell Crowe has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Leeds United’s defeat to Derby County on Wednesday evening.
Leeds suffered a 4-2 loss at the hands of Derby at Elland Road in the second leg of their Championship playoff semi-final tie.
The West Yorkshire outfit won the first leg of the tie 1-0 at the Pride Park Stadium last weekend.
This means that Frank Lampard’s side have progressed to the final 4-3 on aggregate and will face Aston Villa at Wembley Stadium in London later this month for a place in the Premier League next season.
Jack Marriott was the star for Derby, as the 24-year-old striker scored the tie-clincher in the 85th minute.
Hollywood superstar Crowe, who has starred in renowned movies such as Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind and Cinderella Man, was following the second leg, and he has stayed positive about Leeds for the 2019-20 campaign.
The 55-year-old New Zealand actor is a Leeds fan, and believes that the Whites will be all right next season.
Next year. We’ll be right.
