Graham Roberts has suggested on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur should not pay £60 million to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.

According to The Mirror, Tottenham are interested in signing Grealish from Championship club Villa this summer.

It has been reported that the 23-year-old attacking midfielder’s current contract at the Villans has a £60 million buyout clause.

Former Tottenham star Roberts has suggested on Twitter that Spurs should not pay £60m for the youngster, who can also operate as a winger.

Roberts has suggested that Grealish’s worth is £25m, not £60m.

Grealish is one of the best attacking players in the Championship, and the 23-year-old has been instrumental in Villa reaching the playoffs despite his injury problems this season.

According to WhoScored, the 23-year-old has made 31 appearances in the Championship this season, scoring six goals and providing six assists in the process.

Villa will face West Bromwich Albion in the Championship playoff semi-finals.

If Dean Smith’s side progress to the final, then they will face either Leeds United or Derby County for a place in the Premier League next season.
