Leeds United returned to the top of the Championship table with a 2-0 win over QPR on Saturday afternoon, and after the match their fans took to social media, where one man was the centre of attention.
It hasn’t been the most consistent period of results for the Whites in recent times, but they have managed to maintain a lofty position in the second tier, and after one of their better displays in a while, they now sit proudly looking down on everyone else.
Leeds went into the match expected to feast on a QPR defence which is one of the leakiest in the Championship this term, and although goals did not flow as easy as some thought they would, two was more than enough for Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
Ahead of the contest, all eyes was on the team sheet of the Argentine, to see who would lead his line, with Patrick Bamford getting the nod. He didn’t score in the game but it didn’t matter too much.
That is because two other attacking talents got themselves on the scoresheet. Tyler Roberts opened the scoring a few minutes before half time and then deep into the second-half, Jack Harrison, the man who set up the opener, got himself a goal to round off a fine personal performance from the England under-21 star.
It was the winger who caught the eye of many Leeds fans who reacted to the game on social media after the final whistle.
The jury has sometimes been out among Whites supporters regarding the talented attacker, but he is in a rich vein of form at the minute, with four assists and a goal in his last five outings.
Many Leeds fans picked up on that fact, when showering him with praise on Twitter after the match concluded.
