Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Derby County’s win against Leeds United on Wednesday evening.

Derby got the better of Leeds 4-2 away from home at Elland Road in the second leg of their Championship semi-final playoff tie to go through to the final 4-3 on aggregate.

The Rams came from a goal down to win the second leg, with Jack Marriott scoring what proved to be the tie-clincher in the 85th minute.

Leeds ended the game with 10 men due to the dismissal of Gaetano Berardi in the 78th minute, while Derby had Scott Malone sent off in the first minute of injury time.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and England international striker Lineker has taken to Twitter to praise Derby for their success over Leeds.

Frank Lampard’s Derby will take on Aston Villa in the Championship playoff final at Wembley Stadium later this month for a place in the Premier League next season.

It promises to be a very entertaining and intriguing game of football.
