Relegation candidates Fulham will host a home clash against Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday at Craven Cottage.
The Cottagers will go into this game as the firm underdogs against Jurgen Klopp’s side who will be fired up, knowing that a win will take them to the top of the standings.
Fulham look destined for relegation this season as they are in 19th place on the standings and 13 points adrift of safety.
The Cottagers have also lost nine out of their previous ten Premier League games and are currently on a run of six consecutive defeats.
Fulham’s recent results against Liverpool do not make for impressive reading. They have lost their previous five Premier League meetings against the Reds and last defeated them at Anfield in May 2012.
Since taking over from the sacked Claudio Ranieri, Scott Parker has failed to guide Fulham to a League victory.
However, if he manages to get points from this game, it will be a huge confidence boost for his side ahead of the final few games of the season.
Parker will have to make do with the services of Fulham defender Alfie Mawson due to a knee problem and goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli as he is recovering from surgery for a knee problem, according to a report published by Sky Sports.
Meanwhile, the report added that forward Andre Schurrle is training again following a virus.
Overall, Fulham have had a really poor reason, especially in defence where they have leaked goals left, right and centre.
It is hard to see them getting points from this game unless Liverpool get the basics wrong.
