Fulham team news: BBC say Parker could change squad vs Swansea, fringe man may start

Promotion chasers Fulham are due to face off against top-six candidates Swansea City in a Championship clash at Craven Cottage on Wednesday night.

The Cottagers enter the clash in indifferent form after having failed to register a victory during their previous three Championship games.

Swansea by contrast have won one out of their previous three league games and enter the contest on the back of a 3-1 win against Huddersfield Town.

The two teams last met at the Liberty Stadium in November and Fulham won 2-1 following a brace from Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The Cottagers have no major injury concerns ahead of the game against the Swans, though manager Scott Parker may look to make changes to his squad following their 1-1 draw against Derby, according to a report by BBC Sport.

After contributing an assist during the Fulham game against the Rams, Aboubakar Kamara could be set to be rewarded with a start by Parker.

If the Cottagers manage to win the game, they would have completed the double over Swansea for the first time since the 1996/97 season.

Parker’s Fulham side need to start providing key player Mitrovic with more assistance in terms of getting goals if they want to stand a chance of winning promotion this season.

The Serbian is currently the top scorer in the second-tier with 22 goals. He has also scored the club’s last league four goals, with Joe Bryan contributing three assists.

A win for Parker’s Fulham side will ensure that they maintain the pressure on second-place Leeds United.

However, the Craven Cottage side dropped to fourth place in the standings after Nottingham Forest beat Cardiff City on Tuesday night
