Tottenham Hotspur are preparing an offer of €15 million (£13 million) for gifted Portuguese midfielder Adrien Silva, according to French newspaper L’Equipe.
The White Hart Lane side finished third in the Premier League last term and have looked to bolster their ranks this summer ahead of Champions League participation in 2016-17.
The North London club have already added Victor Wanyama and Victor Janssen to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad, but Silva is the latest player touted as a potential Spurs target.

The 27-year-old Sporting Lisbon midfielder was part of the Portugal side that lifted the Euro 2016 crown in France over the summer and put in a number of industrious performances in the heart of his nation’s team.
It remains to be seen if Pochettino wants another midfielder given the wealth of talent available to him in the boiler room.
Wanyama’s addition means that Tottenham have strength in depth in midfield, with Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele, Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb and Tom Carroll all fighting for starting roles.
Silva has been linked with a move to Everton in the recent past also.
