Liverpool’s issues at left-back have been well-publicised this season, with calls from the Reds fans for the Anfield side to enter the transfer window to sign a new player in the position.
Alberto Moreno has seemingly lost the confidence of Jurgen Klopp and the supporters, with James Milner filling in at the back as a stop-gap solution.
However, it appears that Joe Gomez has become something of a forgotten man, with the young English youngster set to give the German trainer another option at left-back when he returns to fitness.
The former Charlton Athletic defender instantly impressed at the start of last season when given a chance to play by Brendan Rodgers and looked comfortable stepping up to Premier League football.

Serious injury has cruelly robbed Gomez of the opportunity to meet his considerable potential and the Reds fans will hope that the 19-year-old is back available in the near future.
Before Klopp and Liverpool make a move in the transfer market for a new left-back, it is important to remember that Gomez will offer an excellent option in the role once fully fit again.
