Daniel Arzani is still determined to prove himself at Glasgow Celtic despite having missed the vast majority of last season due to injury, according to Goal.
The exciting talented arrived at Parkhead on loan from Manchester City last summer and was tipped to be a success in Scotland – only for a serious injury to derail his first campaign with the Hoops.
“I’ve talked a little bit with the gaffer and, as everyone knows, he’s really passionate about Celtic,” Arzani said.
“For me, Neil Lennon is always asking about my rehab and my fitness.
“The gaffer telling you he wants you back, that’s great to know that he’s keen to get me back in the team.”
The 20-year-old managed just one Scottish Premiership appearance throughout the whole of last season following an ACL tear on debut.
He is however set to stay at the club for another season as his loan from City is due to span two seasons.
It so far does appear that Arzani will be in the first-team plans of Celtic boss Lennon ahead of the new campaign.
He was included in the Bhoys Champions League squad for the season though he is unlikely to face off against FK Sarajevo at Parkhead this week.
Arzani certainly has plenty of potential. The fact that he made it into the Manchester City system confirms that.
As one of the most elite clubs in world football, the Citizens only accept the best talent in their system. He can potentially be a huge asset to the Hoops next season if he manages to stay injury free.
If fit, he could go on to become a key player for the Celtic squad.
The player is worthy taking a risk on from a Hoops perspective. It is really hard to see Arzani being integrated into the City first-team during the next few years, even if he manages to impress next season.
Celtic will hope that the Australian can live up to his billing and help the Glasgow giants retain their Scottish crown in 2019-20.
