Five top players poised for moves to Premier League clubs this summer

Liverpool have become the new champions of England, but the four Champions League spots below them are still up for grabs.

Arsenal, Newcastle United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are all vying to secure a place in Europe next season.

The primary focus of all these teams will be to win their remaining two league fixtures, but they will also have an eye on the summer transfer window.

Premier League transfer news suggests a busy summer for the English clubs, who will be looking to acquire the services of top talents from around the world.

Below we will discuss five best players who could move to England in the upcoming transfer window.

Viktor Gyokeres (Sporting Lisbon)

Manchester United have been linked with a strong interest in Viktor Gyokeres, who PortuGOAL describes as one of the hottest properties in Europe. The Swedish footballer has been earning rave reviews in the Primeira Liga with his performances, but he could be tempted to reunite with manager Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford. But given Gyokeres’ contract will not expire until 2028, it will likely take a huge fee to secure a deal for him.

Benjamin Sesko (RB Leipzig)

Benjamin Sesko was linked with a move to Arsenal last summer, but he chose to pen a new contract with RB Leipzig. The 21-year-old has had an excellent 2024-25 Bundesliga campaign, and he continues to be on the radar of top Premier League clubs. A lucrative offer could see Leipzig allowing their top player to leave this summer.

Hugo Ekitike (Eintracht Frankfurt)

Having already lost Omar Marmoush to Manchester City in January, Eintracht Frankfurt would be reluctant to sanction an exit for another top forward in Hugo Ekitike. However, his excellent scoring numbers could see a club like Liverpool launching a move for him, and that may complicate things for the German outfit.

Rodrygo (Real Madrid)

Real Madrid have endured a disappointing season and they will look to rebuild their squad this summer. Therefore, they may decide to cash in on one of their most lucrative players in Rodrygo. Manchester City have been linked with an interest and could make a concrete move for him.

Joan Garcia (Espanyol)

Espanyol have had a terrible La Liga season, but their goalkeeper Joan Garcia has been exceptional throughout the campaign. If not for the 24-year-old’s performances, the White and Blue would have been relegated. Garcia’s brilliant displays have sparked an interest from Manchester United, but the Red Devils face competition from Aston Villa.
