Everton suffered one of their more embarrassing Merseyside derby losses in recent times on Sunday afternoon, when they went down 1-0 to a Liverpool second string in the FA Cup at Anfield, and after the game their fans had clearly had enough of a man who was poor on the day.
When the team sheets were revealed, Toffees supporters would have been optimistic of seeing their side progress to the fourth round of the famous competition, even allowing for their terrible record across Stanley Park.
To be fair, it looked like their hopes would be translated into the win they craved in the early stages, as Everton created a number of chances, only to be thwarted by Adrian in the Liverpool goal.
That seemed to rock the confidence of the Toffees players, because after half time they were terrible, not getting a foothold into the battle and as a result they invited Liverpool onto them more and more.
They eventually succumbed to a wonder goal from youngster Curtis Jones inside the last 20 minutes, but even with time to recover the situation, Everton offered little, and in truth never looked like getting back into the contest, much to the frustration of their many fans.
In fairness to those supporters, they could have picked a number of Toffees players to vent their frustration at after the final whistle, but the man who got much of their wrath was Theo Walcott, who it is fair to say was one of the worst performers on the afternoon.
He blew a number of openings to create chances for his teammates to score, and his passing was nothing like the standard that would have been expected, and Everton fans certainly made sure everyone knew about it when they went onto Twitter after the game.
