Leeds United striker Eddie Nketiah has taken to Twitter to express his delight at scoring against Salford City on Tuesday evening.

Nketiah, signed on loan from Premier League club Arsenal on transfer deadline day, made his debut for Leeds in their EFL Cup first-round tie against Salford away from home at the Peninsula Stadium.

As expected, Championship club Leeds got the better of League Two outfit Salford 3-0.

Nketiah opened the scoring for the West Yorkshire outfit in the 43rd minute, and Gaetano Berardi and Mateusz Klich added to the scoreline in the second half.

The 20-year-old forward has taken to Twitter to revel in his goal on his debut for Leeds and in the win for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Positive start

Nketiah is a very good and promising young forward, and his goal on his debut for Leeds will have certainly boosted his confidence.

With Kemar Roofe gone and Patrick Bamford struggling to score goals, Nketiah will play an important role for the Whites in the coming weeks and will have to score the goals to win matches in the Championship.
