Everton are at the front of the queue to sign striker Ilija Nestorovski, according to Spanish Newspaper Estadio Deportivo.

The centre-forward has 10 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions so far this season at Palermo and would be a welcome addition at Goodison Park with that goal-to-game ratio.

Nestorovski’s stats for his country are equally impressive, with three goals in 11 games since being handed his first cap for Macedonia in October 2015.

With the Liverpool Echo claiming that Everton dropped out of the race for Italy’s Manolo Gabbiadini in January, landing Nestorovski could be seen as a chance for redemption after that mistake.

While Everton have not struggled in front of goal this season, the addition of the Italian striker could have helped lift them closer to qualifying for European football, which seems to be a priority for Ronald Koeman.

With top scorer Romelu Lukaku potentially departing in the summer, the Palermo forward seems like a good choice to lead the Toffees attack next season to come and in the future.
