Bayer Leverkusen’s Julian Brandt has a release clause of 12.5 million (£10.7 million) that will come into effect in 2018, according to German newspaper Bild.
The live wire German forward has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Tottenham Hotspur and Everton believed to be keeping a close eye on the 20-year-old.
Reports have emerged that scouts from both Spurs and the Toffees were in attendance at a recent Leverkusen game to monitor Brandt’s performance for the Bundesliga side.
The versatile attacker has boasted lightning pace and trickery this season for the BayArena outfit, with Tottenham facing the skilful star in the group stages of the Champions League.
The German newspaper state that the winger’s current contract with Leverkusen has a release clause that comes into effect in 2018 and as such the Bundesliga side will surely be keen to renew terms with the rising star.
While Mauricio Pochettino wants to add speed to his options in the final third, Ronald Koeman’s men are renowned for their wing play – as such Brandt looks like an ideal option for both Premier League sides.
