Everton boss Ronald Koeman is considering a January move to sign Norwegian youngster Sander Berge, according to The Mirror.

The 18-year-old is a central midfielder who plays for Valerenga and he has impressed after breaking into the Oslo-based club’s first team last year.

Berge has started 22 of his side’s 24 domestic fixtures this season and has taken to the physicality of senior football well despite his age.

The teenager has also been selected to represent Norway of late at under-19 level, playing a role in his team’s 3-1 win over their Romanian counterparts on Saturday.

The report suggests that the Toffees are looking to strengthen their Premier League squad in the mid-season window and Berge is a player they could move for after positive scouting reports.

The Goodison Park club clearly monitor Scandinavian football and signed Bryan Oviedo from FC Copenhagen as a result back in 2012.

The Premier League side are believed to have had an offer for Berge rejected close to the end of the summer transfer window.
