Everton will host Brighton and Hove Albion at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon but they will be without two of their defenders for the game, according to a match preview by Sky Sports.
Marco Silva has revealed that Phil Jagielka and Jonjoe Kenny will both miss the visit of the Seagulls.
However, the Portuguese manager did state that he expects the pair to be available to make a return to training in the very near future.
Jagielka has been struggling with a knee injury, whilst Kenny will need to sit out of another match on the sidelines, as Silva appears to have preferred him rather than Seamus Coleman at times this season.
“Everything is OK apart from a small problem, nothing special, with Jags and Jonjoe,” the manager said.
“It is a matter of some days and they will be OK to train next week.”
Ademola Lookman will be pushing for his first Premier League start of the season after impressing off the bench in small cameos recently.
Yerry Mina is another that could look to push into the side, as the Colombia international defender is thought to be ready to make his debut for the Toffees.
The defender joined from Barcelona in the summer with an injury concern and suffered an untimely setback but it appears he is now ready.
