Everton could be set to bring Michy Batshuayi to Goodison Park on deadline day, according to Sky Sports.
The Toffees could have a busy day ahead, as they look to tie up a deal for the Belgian international striker.
If Everton are to land Batshuayi, it would have to be a permanent deal though, with the fee believed to be in the region of £35million.
A temporary move to Merseyside is out of the question, due to Marco Silva already having Kurt Zouma on loan from Chelsea.
Everton fans have been calling for a striker to arrive at Goodison Park for some time now, as the club are yet to find a prolific replacement for Romelu Lukaku.
Batshuayi has only started six Premier League games for Chelsea, with the Toffees’ target spending time out on loan with Borrusia Dortmund last season.
Everton would have to bring his current temporary deal with Valencia to an end if they are to land the 25-year-old’s signature before the end of today.
During his time in Spain, Batshuayi has scored one league goal in 15 appearances, with only four of those coming as starts.
If Everton do bring the striker to Goodison Park, they will be hoping a prolonged run in the team could see him find the net on a more regular basis.
The Toffees are currently sat eighth in the Premier League, as they chase a spot in the Europe League for next season.
With an out and out goal scorer missing from their ranks, Everton may well complete this deal before the end of the day.
