Everton are battling Premier League rivals Arsenal for the signing of highly rated Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal, according to The Sun.
The Algerian attacker is a product of the Ligue 1 outfit’s prestigious youth academy but is angling for a move away from the French side.

Ghezzal is out of contract at the end of the current campaign and has spurned offers to extend his time with Lyon, instead hoping to leave on a free transfer this summer.
The report suggests that Ronald Koeman is a big fan of the 24-year-old and is willing to reinvest the money that Everton would save on a transfer fee in the African’s wages.
It states that the Toffees could offer Ghezzal a contract worth £100,000 per week to convince the attacker to move to Goodison Park.
Everton have had issues in wide areas this season, with Gerard Deulofeu out of favour and Yannick Bolasie suffering a serious, long-term injury.
