Everton have made a new £9 million bid for Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal, with Southampton also keen to land the Algerian winger, according to The Daily Mail.
The gifted attacker starred for the Ligue 1 club last season and played a role in the club finishing as runners-up domestically, qualifying for the Champions League in the process.

Ghezzal is being linked with a Lyon exit though, with the African wideman only having 12 months left on his existing contract in France.
West Ham have been linked with a move for the 24-year-old this summer, but it appears that Ronald Koeman’s men lead the race for his signature.

The report suggests that the offer could well be enough to tempt Lyon to part company with Ghezzal, with the prospect of losing the homegrown star for free next summer looming.
Southampton are also in the running to land the attacker, with Saints boss Claude Puel knowing Ghezzal well from his time in charge at Nice.
