AC Milan have emerged as reported suitors of Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, with The Daily Star stating that the Italians are ready to break the bank for the Belgian striker this summer.
The former Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion and Anderlecht star has been a revelation since moving to Goodison Park and has scored 16 Premier League goals this season.
Lukaku’s future on Merseyside is seemingly a continual cause of speculation, with the Belgium international defying the odds to stay with Everton last summer.
However, the latest report suggests that Milan, who have wealthy new owners, have identified the battering-ram forward as a possible high-profile recruit.
Talk in the press of late has stated that Lukaku is ready to extend his contract with Everton, with agent Mino Raiola stating a deal was 99 per cent done last month.
Everton fans will hope that their striker, who netted four goals against Bournemouth next week, puts pen to paper and ends speculation linking him with Milan and other European sides.
