Everton were denied all three points in their Europa League tie with Apollon Limassol in the dying minutes of the game, leaving Ronald Koeman’s men struggling in the tournament already.

The Toffees, who were looking on course to win the game after the late sending off of Valentin Roberge, conceded a goal in the 88th minute when Yuste headed home.

The visitors took the lead with Adrian Sardinero netting in the 12th minute, before Wayne Rooney equalised almost ten minutes late.

Koeman’s men went into the break all square, however, a half-time substitution made by the Dutchman proved to be effective as Nikola Vlasic broke the deadlock 20 minutes after the restart.

The draw was the first point Everton have gained in the competition so far, having been beaten by Atalanta in the opening fixture, putting pressure on the manager.

The Goodison Park faithful is starting to become frustrated with the performances they are seeing from their side, having seen plenty of disappointing results in such a short period of time, especially following the heavy investments made during the summer.

Many of the supporters before the game with the Cypriot outfit were stating that it was a must-win fixture, after the embarrassing defeat to the Serie A side a fortnight ago and with the prospect of playing Olympique de Lyonnais as their other group opponents, those fans now do not believe the club can qualify.

Despite the dreadful performances from the Merseysiders, they did manage to take some small positives out of the game, especially in regards to Vlasic.

They took to social media to praise the 19-year-old’s ability and believed the introduction of the midfielder in the second-half definitely changed the game towards their favour.
