Everton manager Ronald Koeman is eyeing up a potential January move for Inter Milan midfielder Ever Banega according to The Mirror.
The Argentina international only moved to the Serie A side in the summer from Sevilla but the South American has struggled to make an impression in Italy.
Inter have an array of attacking midfielders in their ranks and Banega is not always guaranteed a berth in the Nerazzurri team.
The report states that the Serie A side are ready to part company with the 28-year-old despite the fact he has only been in Italy for six months and that the playmaker is valued at £8 million.
Koeman and Everton are expected to strengthen the Toffees contingent in the January transfer window and the arrival of Banega would add creativity and technique to the Merseyside outfit’s ranks.
The Rosario-born star’s pedigree is proven by the fact that he has amassed 51 international caps for Argentine since making his debut in 2008.
