Everton have entered the race to sign highly rated Swedish striker Alexander Isak and can beat Chelsea and Real Madrid to his signature by paying £14 million, according to The Daily Mail.
The 17-year-old attacker has starred since making his breakthrough at AIK, defying his young age to star in senior football this season.
The report suggests that Madrid had a £9 million offer for Isak rejected by his current employers, while Chelsea are mentioned as suitors of the Scandinavian starlet.
Everton however could well win the race for his signature by paying AIK’s £14 million asking price, as Ronald Koeman looks to strengthen his Toffees squad in the January transfer window.
The Merseyside outfit have had an inconsistent start to the new season and a second striker to partner Romelu Lukaku is believed to be a priority for the Goodison Park trainer.
Isak is being tipped to have a bright future in the sport but it remains to be seen how ‘the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic’ would cope with Premier League football at his young age of 17.
