Everton winger Yannick Bolasie reportedly wants to make a loan move to a Premier League club this month, amidst interest from Newcastle United, according to a report published by the Mirror.
The 29-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan with Championship club Aston Villa. He was an ever-present figure for the Midlands outfit during that time and went on to make 21 second-tier appearances, scoring two goals.
However, Everton man Bolasie opted to cut short his loan spell with Dean Smith’s side this month and returned to Goodison Park.
Newcastle could possibly take advantage of this as Rafa Benitez looks to bolster his Magpies squad before Thursday’s deadline.
Bolasie is good enough to play for a mid-table top-flight side and would add creativity and unpredictability to the St James’ Park outfit’s attack.
The Everton wideman does not look like he has much of a future at the Toffees under the management of Marco Silva.
If Newcastle do come calling, Bolasie should jump at the opportunity as it would be both beneficial to player and club.
Benitez’s Newcastle side face the prospect of being sucked into the relegation battle and they could do with the addition of the DR Congo international as he is tested in the English top-flight and also boasts significant experience.
By joining the Toon Army, Bolasie could also get the chance to play in the Premier League and be given an opportunity to prove any doubters at Everton wrong.
