Emile Smith Rowe reacts on Twitter after Arsenal’s stunning north London derby win

Arsenal attacker Emile Smith Rowe reacted on Twitter after the club’s 3-1 north London derby win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

The Gunners registered a convincing win over Spurs at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. Smith Rowe opened the scoring in the 12th minute.

The academy graduate has formed an excellent understanding with Bukayo Saka, and the latter’s squared pass was slotted into the back of the net.

In the 27th minute, Smith Rowe again combined with Saka on the counter-attack before assisting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goal.

Both Saka and Smith Rowe stood out with a goal and an assist apiece. The former was adjudged the man of the match after his quick start off the blocks.

In his post-match interview and on social media, Smith Rowe highlighted that it was ‘the best day of his life’ with his family in the stands to see him score in the derby.

Smith Rowe had a frustrating game against Burnley last weekend where he struggled with his distribution in the final third of the pitch.

He found his scoring boots in the late cameo against AFC Wimbledon in midweek and had his best-ever performance for the club against Spurs.

Smith Rowe showed a drastic improvement from the Burnley display as he found the back of the net and put the ball on a plate for Aubameyang to score.

It has been a superb turnaround for the Gunners after three defeats to start the season. A run of three victories has seen them jump to 10th in the table.

Mikel Arteta has been able to play his best team with injury concerns out of the way. There has been a superb response after the international break.
