Derby County were beaten 2-0 by Fulham at Craven Cottage on Monday night, however, fans were delighted with the performance of one of their stars on social media after the game.

The Rams would have been feeling some form of confidence heading into the game having been able to take a one-goal advantage to west London following their 1-0 win at Pride Park in the first-leg.

However, they were undone by the hosts, who had completely dominated the game and found themselves behind moments after the restart.

17-year-old sensation Ryan Sessegnon opened the scoring with a rifled shot that Scott Carson could not keep out before he assisted with the crucial winner to help send Fulham to the play-off final at Wembley Stadium.

The teenager whipped in his corner kick, which was met by Denis Odoi, sending the Rams into another season of Championship football.

Despite the result, fans took to social media to praise the performance of their players during the campaign and some reserved some special mentions for their experienced goalkeeper.

Carson, who is 32-years-old, had made a number of crucial saves in the first half of the game, keeping Derby in with a chance as much as he could and supporters made their happiness towards him known.

A number of the fans had stated that they had felt he should be on the plane this summer when England head to Russia for the World Cup, whilst others believe “he is what dreams are made of”.

Here are some of their reactions:
