Derby County were eliminated from the FA Cup on Wednesday night by Premier League opponents Leicester City – but the travelling support claim to have won the battle on the terraces.

In the fourth-round replay at the King Power Stadium, extra-time goals by Wilfried Ndidi and Demarai Gray settled the clash in the hosts’ favour.

Steve McClaren did not field a full-strength side for the game, suggesting that the Rams manager has prioritised finishing in the Championship top six this season.

Despite their team losing, the Derby fans are proud of the noise and atmosphere they created from the away end during the game.

Almost 5000 supporters travelled to the game and they are claiming that Leicester’s home faithful failed to create an atmosphere at the King Power Stadium.

Derby fans are vehemently proud of their team but most of the positive comments on Twitter after the game were about how much of a din came out of the away end. Here are the best tweets.
