Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac will spurn an offer from Everton and instead join Premier League rivals Arsenal when his contract with the Bundesliga outfit expires, according to Sky Sports.
The Bosnia international’s future has been a source of major speculation over recent months, with the talented left-back making it clear that he intended to leave Gelsenkirchen this summer.
It has been widely reported that Everton have been one of the teams chasing Kolasinac and Sky Sports have stated previously that the Toffees made an offer to the 23-year-old.
Ronald Koeman is keen to bolster his Goodison Park squad over the summer in a bid to challenge the Premier League’s top six and will have money to spend.
With Leighton Baines getting older, Everton are expected to look for a long-term successor over upcoming transfer windows but will seemingly not be signing Kolasinac.
The Bosnian is reported to have agreed to join Arsenal on July 1 on a free transfer, with the new man to rival Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal for a first-team berth.
