Football pundit David Prutton has predicted that Leeds United will beat Norwich City on Saturday – but is also backing Fulham to get a vital three points against Brentford.
The Elland Road outfit sit in seventh place in the Championship standings going into the penultimate weekend of action and need to record maximum points to have any chance of a top-six finish.
Garry Monk’s men also need one of the teams above them to slip up, with Fulham currently in sixth and facing a London derby against Brentford at the weekend.
Prutton has stated that although Leeds are not on a good run of form currently, he expects the Whites to get a much-needed 1-0 victory over Norwich.
“Norwich won’t be easy – they have been inconsistent and they are there to put a spanner in the works,” he told Sky Sports.
“Leeds, though, just have to win and I think they will.”
The pundit went on to discuss the Fulham game and in bad news for his former club Leeds, Prutton believes the in-form Craven Cottage outfit will continue their winning streak by prevailing 2-1.
“I think Fulham will edge this,” he said.
“They have been clinical when they have needed to be and they have shown energy all season that has taken them into the top six.”
It is set to be an exciting Saturday of Championship action, with all to play for in the race to finish in the play-off places and stand a chance of promotion to the Premier League.
