Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose has shed some insight regarding the futures of some current Spurs stars and strongly hinted a possible exit for his team-mates.
The 26-year-old is one of a number of players to have been linked with a move away from the London side this summer along with fellow full-back Kyle Walker.
The former Leeds United defender believes the likes of Harry Kane would not consider leaving but other individuals ‘might fancy a change’ and think of his side as a “nearly club”
“I was told a few months ago these next two or three windows are going to be the ones where full-backs are going for a lot of money so we’ll see,” he told BBC Radio 5 live.
“Someone like Harry Kane, I can tell you that his mindset will be ‘I’m staying at Tottenham, I’m going to break every single record, I’m going to captain this club into the new stadium’ so when you’ve got a player like him with that mindset I don’t think Tottenham have to worry.
“But it depends where the individual is in the stage of his career. He might feel he has done enough at Tottenham and might fancy a change or might feel Tottenham is the nearly club that nearly wins the league and might choose to move on.”
Rose has not made an appearance since January as a result of a knee injury and has been linked with Premier League side Manchester United.
Despite a fantastic campaign for the North Londoners, they were unable to catch up to Antonio Conte’s Chelsea and eventually finished their season second in the league.
Reinforcements will be needed for Mauricio Pochettino’s men this summer as rumours linking players with exits continue to circulate.
