Danny Mills has suggested to Football Insider that Jack Clarke should not leave Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
According to Football Insider, Southampton and Crystal Palace in the Premier League wanted to secure the services of the 18-year-old winger in January 2019.
The teenager, who can also operate as a forward, is hugely talented and has a lot of potential, and one should not be surprised if clubs make offers for him again this summer.
Former Leeds right-back Mills has suggested that Clarke will be better off staying at Elland Road.
Mills told Football Insider: “I think Jack Clarke should stay at Leeds. He’s played a few games this season, he’s not played often enough and when I look at players who have left Leeds United too early in the past, it’s very, very difficult not to.”
Leeds United stay
Clarke has only just started his professional club football career, and it does make sense for the 18-year-old to stay at Leeds beyond the summer transfer window.
The youngster has done well when he has been called into action this season, and the winger could well establish himself in the first team at the Whites in the coming years.
According to WhoScored, Clarke has made four starts and 18 substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the process.
