Crystal Palace have emerged as surprise suitors of Everton striker Oumar Niasse, according to Sky Sports, with the Eagles still in the market for new number nine.
The Selhurst Park side have been progressive in the transfer market this summer and have added a number of promising new faces to Alan Pardew’s squad.
However, a recognised centre forward that can score consistently is still missing from the Palace ranks and plenty of players have been linked with the London club as a result.
Niasse was highly rated after some superb performances for Lokomotiv Moscow and was being linked to a number of Premier League sides.

Everton won the race for his signature, spending £13.5 million on the attacker in the process, but the Senegal international was not afforded much time on the pitch by former boss Roberto Martinez.
Niasse has become something of a forgotten man on Merseyside and with the Toffees determined to keep Romelu Lukaku at the club, the 27-year-old looks surplus to requirements.
The report suggests that Palace could take the African attacker on loan for the 2016-17 season, but the Selhurst Park faithful will surely want the club to sign a more proven attacking option also.
