Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough are both looking to bring Oliver Burke to England on loan for the rest of the season, according to The Mirror.

The teenager left Nottingham Forest for Germany’s RB Leipzig in the summer for 13 million, despite reported interest from numerous Premier League clubs.

Burke has struggled to make the impact he would’ve wanted in the Bundesliga having only started once this season for the surprise title contenders, along with 13 substitute appearances, scoring once.

The 19-year-old’s representatives are understood to have been in contact with a number of sides informing them that there’s a high chance of a deal taking place.

Middlesbrough’s interest may increase in the next few weeks after reports attacking midfielder Gaston Ramirez told the club he wants to leave.

The Uruguayan played a key role for the Teesiders last season as they won promotion from the Championship. His loan deal became permanent at the start of this season, after leaving Southampton, but is unhappy at constantly being played out of position.

Middlesbrough currently sit 16th in the Premier League four points above the drop zone. On Saturday they lost 3-1 at the Riverside to West Ham United.

However Palace occupy the last relegation spot having lost 1-0 to Everton at Selhurst Park over the weekend.
