Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has identified rising Hoffenheim defender Niklas Sule as a possible transfer target, according to The Mirror.
The Blues have powered their way to the top of the Premier League table following a switch to a three-man defence, with Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill starring at the back.

Chelsea have only conceded one goal in their last seven Premier League games but with John Terry ageing, are being linked with signing an extra centre-half in January.
Sule has been part of a Hoffenheim team that is yet to be beaten in the Bundesliga this season and continues to impress for the modest outfit.
The 21-year-old was part of the Germany team that finished as runners-up in the Olympic Games in Brazil over the summer and recently made his senior debut for the current world champions.
Excitement is building over Sule’s potential, with scope that the Frankfurt-born star can be a mainstay of the national side for years to come.
Both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have also been accredited with an interest in the defender in the media, while Everton have supposedly sent scouts to watch the defender in action.
