Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has told young defender Kurt Zouma that he has a role to play at the Premier League club once he returns from injury, The Telegraph report.
The former St Etienne enforcer was signed by the Blues as a potential long-term replacement for John Terry and has impressed with his no-nonsense approach since moving to England.
However, a serious knee injury last season has kept Zouma on the sidelines for the last number of months and the France international is believed to still be some way from a return to the first-team fold at the Premier League club.

With David Luiz returning to Chelsea to give Conte the additional option at centre-half that he has craved, question marks over the role Zouma will play this season have emerged.
Talk in the press that the Frenchman could head out on loan have been prevalent also.
The latest report will come as good news to Chelsea fans however, with Conte set to include Zouma in his thoughts and give the young centre-half a chance to prove himself in the Premier League once fit and available again.
