Manchester United return to Premier League action today with a potential banana-skin fixture against Watford at Vicarage Road.

Following an excellent start to the new season by Jose Mourinho’s men, the wheels have come off to some degree in the last week.

Derby defeat to Manchester City was quickly followed by a disappointing performance and 1-0 loss to Feyenoord in the Europa League.

With an emphasis on getting back to winning ways, Mourinho has made a number of changes to the team that was defeated at the De Kuip Stadium on Thursday night.

As expected, Zlatan Ibrahmiovic has returned to the visiting side’s starting XI, while Marcus Rashford retains a place, presumably playing from wide.

United will hope to record three points against Walter Mazzarri’s men to keep them within touching distance of the early Premier League pacesetters – here is the team that Mourinho has picked to start at Vicarage Road.

Manchester United starting XI vs Watford (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Valencia, Bailly, Smalling, Shaw; Pogba, Fellaini; Rashford, Rooney, Martial; Ibrahimovic
