Everton manager Ronald Koeman has revealed his starting XI to face Merseyside rivals Liverpool in todays derby in the Premier League.

The Toffees are without a host of first-team players due to injury, with James McCarthy, Ramiro Funes Mori and Seamus Coleman all getting hurt on international duty.

Key midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is also out of the reckoning for the clash at Anfield after picking up a calf injury against Hull City in the Goodison Park clubs last Premier League match.

Mason Holgate will deputise for Coleman against Liverpool, while Matthew Pennington gets a shock start for the visitors in defence.

There are also starts for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Idrissa Gueye, with Kevin Mirallas and Gareth Barry on the bench.

Everton still have hopes of finishing in the top six this season but their chances of doing so will depend on the next two games.

The Toffees face Manchester United on Tuesday night also, with the outcome of both games critical in how Koemans men complete the campaign.
