Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested on Twitter that Tyler Denton needs to improve massively if he is break into the Leeds United first team next season.
Denton is returning to his parent club Leeds after a season-long loan spell at League One outfit Peterborough.
The 23-year-old, who can operate as a left-back or as a midfielder, failed to make a huge impact at the Posh this past season.
The former England Under-17 international made nine starts and one substitute appearance in League One for Peterborough this past campaign, according to WhoScored.
Denton will now back to Leeds and will aim to break into head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s starting lineup.
Peterborough chairman MacAnthony has given his verdict on Denton on Twitter, and has suggested that the left-back needs to improve a lot to establish himself at Leeds.
While Peterborough narrowly missed out on the League One playoffs, Leeds have finished in the top six of the Championship and still have a chance of clinching promotion to the Premier League for the 2019-20 campaign.
Needs to improve massively if to ever break into Leeds team Jason. Great lad though and still young, so time on his side. https://t.co/gCYzcd1Jw0
