Chris Sutton has predicted on BBC Radio 5 Live that Leeds United will win against Arsenal in the FA Cup.

Championship club Leeds will take on Premier League club Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup.

The tie will be held at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the first week of January.

Former Celtic striker Sutton has backed Marcelo Bielsa’s side to get the better of the Gunners away from home.

Sutton said on BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday: “I think Arsenal against Leeds is fascinating. If it was to be played this week, I would actually fancy Leeds to beat Arsenal.

“They are in phenomenal form. Arsenal look like same old Arsenal, decidedly shaky at the back and that’s a huge game.”

Big call

Arsenal are going through a bad spell at the moment and are also on the hunt for a new permanent manager, while Less are flying in the Championship at the moment.

However, things could change in a month’s time, and Leeds could stage a win at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners may not take the domestic cup competitions seriously, especially as they are likely to progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League and are also fighting for a place in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
