Third place Chelsea will face off against European hopefuls Sheffield United in a Premier League clash at Bramall Lane on Saturday.
The Blues enter the game in third position with 60 points and just a point above fourth place Leicester City. They will be looking to beat the Blades in order to further entrench themselves upon third position.
Frank Lampard’s side could face a tricky contest. Chris Wilder’s side will enter the game in high spirits after claiming a morale boosting 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in their last game.
N’Golo Kante and Billy Gilmour is set to miss the game for the Blues according to the Standard.
Lampard could be set to potentially hand Jorginho his first league start since the top-flight resumed. Gillmour is set to be out of action for up to four months after undergoing knee surgery.
Another option that Lampard could start in midfield is the fit-again Mateo Kovacic. Though the Blues won their last game against Palace, they were sloppy in defence.
They may have not won the game had the Eagles had more luck on the day.
Lampard could recall Antonio Rudiger to his starting xi in order to tighten up things at the back. The report added that though Fikayo Tomori is closing in on a return to action, he will play no part in the game.
One of Chelsea’s standout players since the re-start has been Christian Pulisic. The American international will be looking to continue his good form. He has drawn comparisons to Eden Hazard.
