Real Madrid star Isco is ready to turn down a move to join Chelsea this summer, according to reports in Spain.
Don Balon, who are famed for their far-fetched transfer rumours, are claiming the Blues are interested in the playmaker, however, he is not prepared to make the move.
It is believed he is ready to turn down a move to Stamford Bridge due to their absence in next year’s Champions League tournament after they finished fifth in a disappointing campaign.
The 26-year-old is thought to be on the radar of a number of clubs, however, he has already told Chelsea that he will not be joining them as they look to rebuild next season.
The Blues are expected to part company with Antonio Conte following the conclusion of the FA Cup final on Saturday and Roman Abramovich has been busy trying to bring a number of players in.
With another season outside of the Champions League, the Stamford Bridge outfit will be slightly concerned that they can not land the targets they want as the other sides who will compete with them will more than likely be involved in Europe’s top competition.
Another factor that could go against Chelsea at the moment is the uncertainty facing the managerial job, with Conte’s future remaining unclear.
A number of players may not be prepared to head to west London until the situation is resolved, which could take the club sometime and leave them very little opportunity to bring in the targets that they desire.
