Chelsea are interested in signing Juventus right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner after the 32-year-old has fallen out of favour at the Italian outfit, according to Calcio Mercato.
Dani Alves’ arrival in Turin has limited the Switzerland international’s game time this season, forcing the experienced full-back to consider his options moving forward.

Massimiliano Allegri left the long-serving stlawart out of the club’s Champions League squad list and his desire to leave has put some of Europe’s top clubs on red alert.
As such, it is believed that the Londoners are in the running for Lichtsteiner’s signature, with the veteran potentially able to offer an experience option for the Premier League side.
Antonio Conte’s men face stern opposition though, as Barcelona are also reportedly linked with Juve’s wantaway defender as Aleix Vidal desires a January departure from the Nou Camp.
The Chelsea manager has expressed his interest and he will be looking to bring in a new right-back in January to replace Branislav Ivanovic, as the Serbian has been dropped and is facing the axe.
The Serbian has come under criticism for his performances so far this season, leading to him being an unused substitute in their 2-0 win away to Hull City before the international break.
Conte knows Lichtsteinter well from their time together in Turin, with the Swiss wideman playing a considerable role in the three Serie A titles the Italian trainer won with the Bianconeri.
