Chelsea’s €20 million offer for Marcos Alonso has been rejected by Fiorentina according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Widescale reports in the Italian and British media have stated that the Blues are interested in the forward-thinking left-back, who used to play for both Sunderland and Bolton Wanderers.

With Cesar Azpilicueta as the West London side’s only tried-and-tested option in the defensive role, a move for Alonso makes sense.
However, as with other targets such as Kalidou Koulibaly and Alessio Romagnoli, the Stamford Bridge side are finding that clubs are pushing the price up.
The latest report suggests that Fiorentina have rejected Chelsea’s opening offer for the Spaniard and want to tempt the Premier League side into paying a bigger fee.
To date, Conte has added Michy Batshuayi and N’Golo Kante to his squad but the Italian trainer has been vocal in his desire to add another defender to the group before the transfer window closes on Wednesday.
